About

Our runners have an amazingly wide range of fitness levels, ages and running ambitions.   We have runners in their 20s - and in their 60s.  Some of our members regularly tackle marathons and ultras - others have slightly more modest running ambitions, for example, working towards a first 5K.

The biggest benefit of running as part of a club is that we support each other.  Nobody gets left behind, nobody gets pushed beyond their ability and nobody is held back.

We take coaching seriously and we have a pool of experienced qualified England Athletics Coaches and Leaders who help and advise members on how to improve and enjoy running more.  It also helps to have a diverse mix of runners - if you are thinking of taking on a new running challenge, there is a good chance another member will have first hand experience they can share with you!

We currently have over 150 active members, and for our most popular training sessions, about 40 women turn out to run.

We operate 2 weekly training runs in Southampton and since 2011, we've also offered 3 weekly training sessions in Eastleigh.

Our annual training weekend is at Foxlease in the New Forest and offers a huge amount of activities over 3 days - a 10 mile run, yoga/pilates, agility sessions, hill training - we even had a Zumba session last year.  It also features vast quantities of home made cakes!

We are affiliated to UK Athletics and participate in the Hampshire Athletics League. Local race series include the RR10 (summer) and CC6 (winter), as well as the Hampshire Road Race League.
